3rd Annual Haunted Hustle

STATO will be hosting it's 3rd Annual Haunted Hustle on Sunday, October 28, 2012 in Temiskaming Shores beginning at the Haileybury Waterfront. Runners and walkers can choose from a 5km, 10km and 21km distance. 2011's event was a success, raising $9800.00 for the beautiful STATO trail.
This year the Haunted Hustle will be a Road Warrior Qualifying Event, so everyone who is a road warrior member, make sure to sign up to get your points!
If you attended previous Haunted Hustle's, please check out the photo gallery to see if you were caught by our camera people. From Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs to ACDC, ZZTop and the Devil himself was there! Costumes are not mandatory, but the costumes that we have had were awesome, we can't wait to see what great ideas people will come up with this year. Richard Steward of Photografiks has graciously offered to be our photographer for this year's event and plans to capture all participants and costumes.
This year we will be trying to break a world record at the Haunted Hustle. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we have been asked to be one of the Half Marathon's to try and break these two records.
The current "Largest Group of People to Say "Break Cancer" upon completion of a Marathon or Half-Marathon" is only seven runners...what do you think? Eight would break the record. Their record video is below:
I think we could also set a record for the "Most (runners, walkers and volunteers) to say "Team Shan Breast Cancer Awareness for Young Women" at one time" similar to the students at Western who set the following record:
Shanna Larsen grew up in Haileybury and is held dearly in many of our hearts. Her mother Lorna will be at the Haunted Hustle to do all of the taping for these two records.
